Eggs
Cast-Paint Eggs are up-cycled works of art. They are comprised of used eggshells and discarded house paint otherwise destined for a landfill. I eat every egg that is used in this cast-paint process. The artwork utilizes the interior of empty eggshells as a vessel for the paint. Multiple detailing techniques and colorful layers fill the vessel over time.
Each signed edition of 30 eggs take approximately six months to create are delivered with the shell intact. The recipient must peel the shell to reveal a unique painting within.

The following two minute video about my egg manufacturing process below illustrates each step and features batches created in 2020.
Cast-Paint Egg Sculptures
Some batches of cast-paint eggs are assembled into sculptural artworks. The following assemblages were constructed for selected exhibitions focussed on recycled art and other similar thematic shows. Up-cycling is the focus of these projects with an eye for creating beauty with materials that would otherwise be labeled trash.
